BROWN bridle-halter with mosquero

Here it is, at last!
Same specs as last one, this time in dark havana leather with caramel panel hide paddings.
Right side, no buckle on browband:
A close detail. Upper stitch line looks messy, but actually it isn't: when weather gets so hot (I had 28 °C while stitching), beeswax melts more than usual and linen thread gets very soaked. I shot this pics less than an hour after I closed the last stitch: a few hours at this temp and excess wax will be completely reabsorbed.
 In use as halter:
A special thank to Pia and Linda :)

Bridle-halter with mosquero

A nice piece of bridlery, imo, made on request for a lady that owns a mare with very sensitive ears.
Unfortunately I made it in wrong colour! Her request was for dark havana with hazel paddings... and I made it in black, with black paddings.

That makes this bridle-halter the only item ready to ship on this blog! Contact me for pricing if you're interested.

Tech specs: size cob+ or full-, fully adjustable (cheekpieces, noseband, throatlatch, bit billets), stainless steel fittings.
I put a buckle on the browband, so the owner can open it and put it on without worrying mare's ears, like a common halter.

Compared to the first model of bridle-halterthis one uses standard buckles instead of full swage halter ones, and flat clips for bit billets. Bit billets are buckle-type instead of hook ones: this allowed me to put 3 adjustment holes on them, granting a better wearability with different types of bits.

Laced reins with stainless steel hooks

We're living bad moments in these days here... almost 2 weeks we're sleeping with an open eye and hear. And when earthquake doesn't strike for real, you can always have nightmares about it...

Back on topic: after losing some evenings running after a pipe-dream, last weekend I worked on more serious stuff:
As title says, a (nice) pair of black leather reins, full size, 25 holes's lacing, stainless steel snaps and buckle.

A detail...
If shaky earth will allow me, this week I should go on working on a new halter/bridle with interesting features.
